Hats
off to Sally!
Sally, one of my new blogger buddies writing at http://slowblossom.blogspot.com/, reminds me that when it comes to indie living, not everything is black-and-white. There are many ways
to be single, including part-time. For example:
- Single parents live alone, often with some regularity, when the ex- has the kids.
- Couples working in different cities are on their own for days, sometimes weeks at a time.
- Some people who’ve lived together for decades say they are still together thanks to regular sabbaticals from the relationship.
I say grey is good.

Hey, that's me! Well, glad to have inspired some grey. . . . As I've mentioned, I live alone every other week, when my daughter lives with her dad. If I had my druthers, though, although I've enjoyed my single quite often in my adult life, I'd live communally. Next up for me might be back to house sharing. Whatever arrangement, it's gotta be about choice, no?
I considered communal living a few years ago and would again if I could find the right mix of people. So many variables to consider, though. Thanks for reminding me of this provocative choice.
